If you are pregnant with more than one baby, you will likely need regular ultrasounds. Early on, it can detect the number of babies, whether they have their own placenta and amniotic sac, and if they are identical or fraternal. Regular ultrasounds monitor if your babies are growing properly and to identify any complications that may need treatment before or after delivery.
